Ned Yost, where are you?

There has been recent news about Ned Yost, former manager of the Milwakee Brewers and third base coach of the Braves.

As reported by mlb.com, during a secret meeting by players before the playoffs they voted to award Yost a full share of the playoff bonuses. They also voted to award Ted Simmons, Yost's replacement, a full share. Not only that, the Brewers have also taken Yost's 2009 option. He'll be paid and availble to coach.

I always liked Yost when he was with the Braves. I always wonder if he would return. In a recent interview with ChopTalk, Boby Cox wrote about his involvement in the Cindy Donald Dreams of Recovery Foundation for spinal injury. He and Ned Yost are on the advisory board, so they are still communicating (other good stuff in that interview too). They are also known to be good friends.

All I can say, is that I, as a fan, would love to have Yost back with the Braves. He left after the 2002 season, a season we won 101 games. I am not saying he should coach third, Brian Snitker is already signed on for next year. In fact the entire coaching staff is coming back, but what about 2010. Hey it could happen, and if it does, I'd welcome him back with open arms.

So Yost, where are you?
