Implication of Panthers Win on Monday Night Football

What a game on Monday Night Football.  The Panthers really handed to the Bucs, but I guess that is to be expected with the way that NFC South teams have taken care of home this year...combined the teams have gone 24-2.  Now that Carolina has taken over the driver seat in the division, should the Falcons simply worry about nabbing the Wildcard spot?  Well with a match up against the Bucs this Sunday at the Dome, they will have the opportunity to make their chances much better.

The Falcons really put themselves in a tight spot with the loss in New Orleans this past Sunday...but all is not lost.  With only three games left in the regular season, the dirty birds are one game out of the wild card (Dallas has the same record but has a better in-conference record due to our loss at New Orleans).  Neither the Falcons nor the Cowboys have it easy the rest of the way, but the Falcons have the advantage of playing at home, then in a dome (where they seem to be better) at Minnesota, and wrap things up against the woeful St. Louis Rams.

I sadly admit the Panthers will more than likely take the NFC South unless they hit a 3 game skid to end the season (I can only hope!).  That being said, I have faith in that the Falcons will take care of the Bucs this Sunday at the Georgia Dome, putting them in prime position to take 1 of the wild card spots.

Sundays Prediction: Falcons 28-Bucs 24
